To verify your domain ownership on Cyberbay, you’ll need to add a TXT or MX record as specified below:
Verify with a TXT record
- Access DNS Settings: Open a new browser tab or window, log in to your DNS hosting provider, and locate your DNS management page (e.g., Zone File Settings, Manage Domains, Domain Manager, DNS Manager).
- Add TXT Record: Add the TXT record provided in the Cyberbay admin panel to your domain’s DNS settings. This record is used to verify domain ownership without affecting your existing services.
Example:
- TXT Name: @
- TXT Value: CB=cb######## (unique ID from the admin panel)
- TTL: 3600 (or your provider’s default)
- Save the record and return to the Cyberbay admin panel. Click on Verify. It may take up to 15 minutes (or longer) for the changes to propagate.
Verify with an MX record
If your registrar does not support TXT records, you can use an MX record for verification:
- Access DNS Settings: Open a new browser tab or window, log in to your DNS hosting provider, and access your DNS management page.
- Add MX Record: Add the MX record provided in the Cyberbay admin panel to your domain’s DNS settings. This record should have the highest priority among all MX records to avoid email delivery issues.
Example:
- Record Type: MX
- Priority: Set to a value higher than existing MX records.
- Host Name: @
- Points to address: Copy the value from the admin panel.
- TTL: 3600 (or your provider’s default)
- Once added, return to the Cyberbay admin panel and click Verify. Allow some time for the changes to propagate.
